FAQ

What hospitals do you service?

We are the contracted newborn portrait service at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, OH. Upon request, we may be available for private sessions at other local hospitals. Please email us at hello@fresh-imprints.com to check our availability.

Do I need to schedule our hospital portrait session in advance?

If you deliver at one of our contracted hospitals, you will not need to schedule in advance. After delivery, hospital staff will ask if you are interested in portraits and will then notify us if so. If you are interested in a private portrait or Fresh 48 session at a non-contracted hospital, then you will need to make arrangements with us in advance.

When will my baby be photographed?

Typically, your baby will be photographed the morning after delivery. For those delivered by cesarean or other special circumstances, we may photograph your child on the day of discharge.

Do I need to bring anything for my baby’s portraits?

We love to personalize your sessions! You may bring 1 outfit for your baby, but also remember to pack a coordinating baby blanket and any accessories that you may want to use! This includes hats, headbands, booties, etc. Crochet or knitted items are popular for newborns and we really love them too! If you don’t want to actually dress your baby in an outfit and instead use blankets and accessories, that is great too! Babies aren’t big fans of changing in and out of clothes anyway!

Is there a session fee?

If you deliver at one of our contracted hospitals, your session is complimentary. This means that there is no cost to you for us to take the pictures. Print and digital file packages are available for purchase.

What should I expect during the session?

A staff member will meet with you to gather consents and contact information and answer any specific questions. The photographer will then set up in your room and complete your baby’s session. Our portrait sessions are typically 15-20 minutes. Following the session, your images will be edited and uploaded to a private, online gallery. You will be provided an event code to which you can view the gallery. The gallery will stay online for a limited time and you may share the viewing information to friends and family if you choose.

What if my baby is transferred to special care at St. Rita’s Medical Center?

If possible, our staff will meet with you before your discharge to discuss your baby’s portrait session and to obtain consents and contact information. We then wait until the hospital staff informs us when your baby can be photographed, which is typically the day of discharge.

Do you offer package specials?

Yes, we do!! Feel free to send us an email to hello@fresh-imprints.com and we will send you a list of our in-hospital specials!
